At the same time under his highly skillful leadership first in the history Indian team captured much coveted the spot of ICC World No.1 Test Team in the ICC world Test Rankings. But after achieving so much in this very short career this cricketer as well as captain of team India is not satisfied yet. Like everybody else he also wants to see Indian team lifting the ICC world Championship Trophy. This time he has a golden chance to do so as the event is shortly going to take place in the Sub-continent. Mahender Singh Dhoni Reveled this burning desire of his heart in a Promotional ICC event to mark 50-day Countdown Celebrations of the Mega-event commencing in the Subcontinent next month. In the Interview Mahender Singh Dhoni said that like everyone else I also wish to see Indian team lifting the World Cup once in my career. He says that when you are a captain of a wonderful as well as so much talented team like India so you feel proud. It is always a matter of proud to play for Indian team and lead the team as a leader. But being a captain the desire of winning the world in my heart is stronger and bigger than anything else because it is something that you can cherish throughout your career. But unlike other players or previous generations of cricket teams this generation wants to win the ICC World Cup but for the sake of fans. We always play for ourselves but this time we all are willing to play and win the biggest event of the game in our career for our fans instead of for ourselves. We want to give something as a token of love to our fans that have made us something out of nothing by showing their pious and great love, Says Mahender Singh Dhoni. We all understand that winning a World Cup requires much more effort and hard work. Moreover, it also needs lot of self belief, Says Mahender Singh Dhoni. But this time our team is all set to do it in front of home crowd. Moreover, this team has everything that is needed to lift the ICC World Cup because unlike our previous teams this team does not know how to take backward step even in worst conditions, Said Dhoni. So no other team can take us lightly especially while playing in Sub-continent. Talking about World Cup Preparations of the team so at this Indian Skipper said "I am Happy with Preparations of the team so far. Moreover, we have gelled well as a unit and supported each other all the way. As a result we all have played excellent Cricket to become a great unit in the world. " At the same time Indian Captain looked cautious as well. He said that we all know one thing very well that in order to become World Champions we will have play World Standard Cricket. The reason behind it is that competition during the event is going to be cut throat. All the teams will participating in the event will fancy their chances. Moreover, every team and match brings new challenge every day. In order to come out with flying colors in every mach on every new day against every team we all will have to play as per our potential to become the World Champion. IF Indian team becomes the World Champion in front of home crowd so this will be something that we all would love to remember throughout our lives from the bottom of our heart. At the same time it will also encourage all the generations to come for the country in the future. |

In the 3rd and last test match at Newlands of Cape Town Indian team today won the coin toss and elected to bat first. After winning the toss team India gave a first blow to South African Team quickly in the shape of Captain Graeme Smith through Zaheer Khan. By this time South African Score had reached only 17 runs when spearhead of Indian pace battery Zaheer Khan once again got his bunny in his trap. Zaheer Khan perhaps saw Smith walking across the stumps. He delivered a beautiful straight ball that was fast and furious but most importantly bang on target. It caught Smith right in front of the wickets. In this way Indian team got first success of the match when Smith got out at 6 runs. Soon after the fall of smith Indian pacer Ishant Sharma also got into action and gave another blow to South Africa in the shape of Alviro Petersen. Ishant delivered a straight and bouncing ball that took outside edge of the Petersen's bat and went in the hands of Indian Captain Dhoni who competed and easy catch successfully. After this two In form batsmen Jacques Kallis and Hashim Amla got together in the middle. Both of them started renovation and took the total to 106 before Sreesanth joined the party and removed dangerous looking Amla. Amla made 59 runs in just 80 balls with the help of 9 boundaries and 1 huge six. Kallis and Amla added 72 runs for the partnership of 3rd wicket. De Villiers looked cautious throughout his innings as he scored 26 runs in 72 balls with the help of 3 boundaries. Prince and Kallis went on to add 58 runs for 4th wicket. When this partnership started looking dangerous once again Indian pacer Srreesanth got into action and provided relief to Indian team by removing set looking De Villiers at the score of 164 runs. After the fall of De Villiers Ashwell Prince Joined Kallis in the middle. Between the fall of wickets at regular intervals Kallis completed his half-century somehow. Kallis never looked in any problem. Kallis free of pressure throughout his innings. Both of them are still playing in the middle. Prince and Kallis have added 68 runs for 5th wicket. This partnership of Kallis and Prince has taken South African total to 232 in 74 overs by the end of the 1st days play. For South Africa Jacques Kallis played wonderfully and did the job of perfect guide between the fall of wickets. Owing to his innings South Africa is in safe position now. Kallis is still batting and going strong with 81 not out in 169 balls with 6 boundaries. On the other hand his partner Ashwell Prince is playing on 28 runs in 69 balls with 3 boundaries. He is looking good for half-century whereas his partner Kallis is marching towards a huge ton. For team India Sreesanth remained the bowler of the day as he got 2 wickets at the cost of 70 runs in 21 overs. On the other hand Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma got 1 wicket each. Harbhajan Singh bowled well but did not get any wicket. For tomorrow Indian team will have to bowl extremely well to stop South Africa below 300 runs. On the other hand South African team will have to get at least 450 runs on this track to put Indian team under pressure. It is possible only if Jacques Kallis and Prince play for a long time again. For bringing South Africa under Pressure Indian bowlers will have to remove Kallis and get some more early. |
