Sri Lankan players have admitted that there is a one player in the team who is involved in disgusting activity of match fixing. Now players have drafted a letter to the International Governing Body of Cricket named ICC. In this letter sent by the Sri Lankan Players to ICC Sri Lankan Players have admitted that there is one fixer in the team of Sri Lanka. in addition to this Sri Lankan players have named that particular traitor also.

Sri Lankan Players also claim that entire team noticed this fixer during the ICC T20 World Cup that as held in England last year. Some senior players of the team noticed that particular player not present in the team hotel at the time of team meetings and many more occasions many times. Moreover, they also saw him talking to some bookie. Pakistan Cricket Scandal Traitors In Pakistan Team Fix Every Match Yasir Hameed

Posted: 05 Sep 2010 08:27 AM PDT

Pakistan Cricket

Ever since Pakistan has entered the blind alley of problems owing to Match fixing scandal its woes do not seem to come to end. It seems as if Pakistan is really in hot water this time. Now Pakistan is sinking into the ocean of hot water as the spoof of match fixing committed by their top players is really taking its toll.

Everyone knows that how precarious this ghost of match fixing is? World came to know about match fixing in 1989 durinng the Sharjah Cup when Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim invested money in cricket and fixed the result of some matches. After 10 years entire world witnessed matches being fixed between India and South Africa.

Actually this match fixing groomed in the year 2000 when south African Cricket Team visited India. During this tour of South Africa Mr. Hansie Cronie Was the captain of the South African Team whereas the command of Indian team was in the hands of Mohammed Azharuddin. During this tour of South Africa some of the matches were fixed. Although all the matches went down to the wire and only that team won every time which kept its cool till the last ball yet there was something wrong. Some of the matches that India won in this series against South Africa were not played honestly by both the teams.

At this time Hyderabad police came into action and busted this scandal. Moreover, Hyderabad police brought all the culprits in front of the public very soon. In this scandal of match fixing that sunk the image of the game in the ocean of insult in the entire world main culprits were South African Skipper Hansie Cronie, Boje, and Herschel Gibbs, Indian skipper Moahmmed Azharuddin, Ajay Jadeja, Nayan Mongia, Nikhil Chopra.
These were the guilty players who brought their nations and game nothing more than shame.

At this time BCCI and South African Cricket Board reacted immediately and banned their guilty players. South Africa banned handed lifetime ban to their Captain Hansie Cronie whereas Boje and Herschel Gibbs escaped with minor punishment and final warning.

Talking about BCCI so Board of Control for Cricket In India also handed Lifetime ban to Captain Mohammed Azharuddin, Ajay Jadeja, Nikhil Chopra and Wicket-Keeping Magician Nayan Mongia. In this way both the sent a message to all the players and rest of the world that people who will bring disgrace to their nation and the game will never be tolerated at any cost. Moreover, nothing will be born at the cost of game's respect.

After this Indian southpaw Sourav Ganguly was given the captaincy of the Indian team whereas Greame Smith became the new captain of South African Team. Both captain later brought Metamorphism in the attitude of their teams very quickly and changed their teams into very aggressive sides with never Say Die Attitude.

This was the time when entire world actually came to know about match fixing. But at that time BCCI and South African Cricket Board handled the matter very strictly and curbed the spoof of match fixing back into the grave. But this recent scandal of match fixing that has brought Pakistan and Cricket disgrace has flogged the dead horse of match fixing again. But this time match fixing has raised its head in the form of spot fixing.

This match fixing scandal has not only brought the real color of Pakistani team and its board in front of the world but has also put cricket in a fix. Several proofs have testified against Pakistan and shown the world that Pakistan Cricket Team is completely corrupt from top to bottom. Moreover, PCB is also included in it.

Earlier former girl friend of Mohammed Asif Miss. Veena Malik spoke in the media openly and spilled all the beans of Pakistan Cricket Team and PCB. Moreover, Scotland Yards also got some proofs in this regard. Pakistani players named Salman Butt, Mohammed Asif and Mohammed Aamer also accepted their involvement in this recent match fixing scandal.

In addition to it all these three guilty players accepted that the paper money seized by Scotland Yards from their rooms was also given to them by a fixer Majeed who was arrested in the same case. This is nothing but only trailer so far in this case because now none other than the insider of Pakistani Cricket Team has also come ahead in the media in this regard. This insider is none other than the Opening batsman of Pakistan team. His named is Yasir Hameed.

Yasir Hameed has also accepted that almost all the games of Pakistan are fixed. He said it without naming anyone. Yasir Hameed also claimed that he always plays from the bottom of his heart yet his team has to bite the dust in all the matches because of some dishonest, money mongers present in the team. These players mean only money andd that too at the cost anything. In addition to it Yasir Hameed said that nothing means more than money for these traitors.

In an interview given in the media Yasir was looking highly dejected at all this because being a true sportsman, a Cricketer, a Game Lover and a truthful Pakistani he really felt the pinch. Now the reality of Pakistan Cricket has been exposed publicly because now a member of the current Pakistan cricket team has also accepted about the presecnce of traitors in the team of Pakistan who are not only stigma on the name of Pakistan and World Cricket but brazen precedence of dishonesty onto the game.

East Lansing, MI, United States (AHN) – It was quite a college debut for Le’Veon Bell.

MSU’s standout recruit from Reynoldsburg, Ohio, gained 141 yards on 10 carries to lead Michigan State over Western Michigan 38-14 Saturday at Spartan Stadium.

It’s the first time since 2006 that MSU has had two running backs to rush for more than 100 yards in a game.

Edwin Baker, a sophomore, gained 117 yards on 17 carries.

Western, a Mid-American Conference school, hung tough with its Big Ten neighbors for most of the first half.

Pens Fill Voids With Inexpensive Option In Comrie

Posted: 05 Sep 2010 07:49 AM PDT

Kareem Shaker – AHN Sports Reporter

Pittsburgh, PA, United States (AHN) – The Pittsburgh Penguins plugged in multi-use utility player Mike Comrie to their lineup with a relatively cheap one-year, $500,000 contract Friday.

Comrie totaled 13 goals and eight assists in 43 games last season with the Edmonton Oilers.

Comrie, who turns 30 Sept. 11, totaled 13 goals and eight assists in 43 games last season with the Edmonton Oilers. He may see a lot of playing time alongside a two-center lineup with Evgeni Malkin and Jordan Staal, and during the power play, where he notched nearly half his points (10) last season.

“For me, to be able to come in and try to complement the players the Penguins have, to fit in and be a guy that can make plays and play on different lines and give them different looks on a team that can make a

playoff run, that’s something I’m excited about,” Comrie told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Comrie took a significant pay cut from the $1.25 million he made last year.

The nine-year veteran is valued for his ability to play either the right wing, where he spent most of the last few seasons, the left wing or even center, where he played much of his early career.

“Versatility is what really interested us,” general manager Ray Shero told the Gazette. “We have no preconceived notions about who he’s going to play with or where he’s going to play, but he’s a competitive guy. He’s got quick hands in tight.”

“He’s a good, talented offensive player. Maybe on our second power-play unit he could be a guy on the half-wall, a position we’ve had some trouble filling.”

The Edmonton native has 167 goals and 359 points in 568 NHL games with the Oilers, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Ottawa and the New York Islanders.

The Penguins finished last season 47-28-7, eliminated by the surprising Montreal Canadiens in the Conference Semi-finals. They open the regular season Oct. 7 against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The very talented girl started with encouragement from her cousin sister and was spotted by a scout at the Tata archery academy in kharsava and was soon a student there.

Within a year she was a part of the contingent which represented India in Antalya,Turkey as a member of Tata Steel sports academy which has nurtured sporting talents for many years now.

NHL, Players Union Agree To Rules On Long-Term Deals

Posted: 05 Sep 2010 06:19 AM PDT

AHN Sports Staff

NY, NY, United States (AHN) – The National Hockey League Players’ Association and National Hockey League late Friday announced an agreement that will implement new rules governing the parameters of long-term contracts and how they are valued within the NHL Salary Cap System.

As part of the agreement, the NHL will register the contract between the New Jersey Devils and Ilya Kovalchuk that was filed with the League on August 27, 2010.

The NHL also will terminate its circumvention investigations into the contracts signed in 2009 by Marian Hossa of the Chicago Blackhawks, Roberto Luongo of the Vancouver Canucks, Marc Savard of the Boston Bruins and Chris Pronger of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Under the terms of the agreement, the new rules will apply only to long-term contracts, defined as those with terms of five years or longer, and only to contracts executed after September 4, 2010.

The new rules apply to contracts signed between now and the end of the CBA, as well as all contracts signed that begin in the 2012-13 season. The parties have agreed that the new rules do not automatically carry over into a new CBA.

For the purpose of Salary Cap calculations, any long-term contract that extends past a player’s 41st birthday will be valued and accounted for in two ways:

The compensation for all seasons that do not include or succeed the player’s 41st birthday will be totaled and divided by the number of those seasons to determine the annual average value (AAV) charged against the team’s Cap for those seasons.

In all subsequent seasons, the team’s Cap charge will be the actual compensation paid to the player in that season (or seasons, as appropriate).

Additionally, in any long-term contract that averages more than $5.75 million for the three highest-compensation seasons, the following rule shall apply: Solely to determine its value for purposes of the Salary Cap, a player’s compensation for any season in which he is age 36, 37, 38, 39 and/or 40 shall be valued at a minimum of $1 million.

“We’re pleased to be able to establish clearly-defined rules for these types of contracts going forward and just as happy we can turn the page on uncertainties relating to several other existing contracts,” NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said.

“From start to finish of this multi-week process we were able to work closely and cooperatively with

representatives of the Players’ Association, who shared our belief that the creation of definitive rules and guidelines in this area would be beneficial to everyone – Clubs and players alike.”

“We are pleased to finalize an agreement which ends the League’s circumvention investigations and also establishes rules on long-term contracts that will provide players, their certified agents and general

managers clarity for the negotiation of new contracts,” said Roland Lee, Director of Salary Cap/Marketplace & Associate Counsel for the NHLPA.

“Turning the page on this process is something that will benefit all parties involved.”
