Cleveland Cavaliers vs Boston Celtics Live: Advantage Home Team Posted: 13 May 2010 12:07 PM PDT Cleveland Cavaliers vs Boston Celtics The Cleveland Cavaliers vs Boston Celtics game 6 in the NBA series cannot neglect the role of home crowd as a deciding factor in the outcome of the game. Keeping an eye on this fact, the Celtics would be certainly vying for victory as the next game is scheduled to be played in Cleveland. The Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics clash has prompted Celtics coach Doc Rivers to quote, 'we’ve got one home game left in this series' and 'should win despite Cleveland's best efforts'. Celtics forward Glen Davis seemed cautioning that if they lose the current game, winning the next game at the opponent's home turf would be tougher. Other players like Kendrick Perkins and Kevin Garnett also were of similar opinion that this is a must win game for the team. A lot would depend on how they tackle LeBron James, having known his potential. On the other hand, James was confident of Cleveland's victory and extending the series. Celtics coach believes that his squad is equipped with players like Kevin Garnett and Glen Davis who can turn the game in their favor. The Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics encounter would be an acid test for both the teams with the latter trying to bank on home support, and the former hoping for it in the next one. |
Cowboys Owner Wants Possible Pacquiao-Mayweather Fight In Dallas Posted: 13 May 2010 10:59 AM PDT AHN Sports Staff Dallas, TX, United States (AHN) – Business magnate Jerry Jones expressed his enthusiasm for staging the potential mega-fight showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather at Cowboys Stadium, a major sports media outlet reported Wednesday.
The Dallas Cowboys owner said the Cowboys Stadium can accommodate around 100,000-120,000 boxing fans – the potential number of attendants for the historic fight. Top Rank honcho Bob Arum previously said the Cowboys Stadium and the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas top the list of candidates for hosting the massive fight. Jones said the fight could be held either on Nov. 6 or Nov. 12, while the Cowboys are on the road. Last march 13, the Cowboys Stadium recorded the third biggest crowd for an indoor boxing match, when Pacquiao annihilated Joshua Clottey in 12 rounds. Jones said the fight registered 50,994 boxing fans, marking the first largest indoor fight since the Muhammad Ali-Leon Spinks heavyweight title match (63,315 fans) at Louisiana Superdome in 1976. With Pacquiao winning against Clottey and Mayweather ousting Shane Mosley, the two boxing superstars might finally be headed in a collision course within this year. Boxing followers believe the two camps would eventually settle their differences and set up the fight tentatively around November or December. The Pacquiao-Mayweather showdown is predicted to be easily the richest boxing match ever with revenues estimated around $100 million. Copyright © 2003 – 2010 AHN – All rights reserved. |

England vs Sri Lanka ICC T20 Live Score: Eyeing Final Posted: 13 May 2010 08:39 AM PDT England vs Sri Lanka Two teams with altogether different history of World Cup are going to face each other today. One side standing is England which is unsuccessful to make it into finals of a ICC tournament since 2004 and on another side is Sri Lanka which has defeated finalists of both World Twenty20 and the 2007 World Cup last year. But this doesn't imply that Sri Lanka will be a tough team to beat as England is the team that has topped Super Eight Group with all its three wins. England is all set to get transformed after it lost 5-1 to Australia last year. It has replaced its stumbling top order and gained the confidence to hold them tight. With the confident top order batting England is followed by great middle order pair of Kevin Pietersen and Eoin Morgan. While, Sri Lanka seems uneven to start with but have created assertion as the tournament began. Mahela Jayewardene’s refined striking has totally pushed Sri Lanka’s batting with his 292 score which is greater than the rest in the tournament and over twofold the second highest Sri Lankan tally of 123 scored by Kumar Sangakkara. It doesn't mean that Sri Lanka solely depend on him as they have defeated India in his absence. Craig Kieswetter has sparkled without banging this tournament as yet. But on the sluggish pitch his effervescent style could take England towards a great start. Suraj Randiv has replaced Murali and Ajantha Mendis taking over spin under his stride now. Sri Lanka is willing to commence their bowling with him. Kevin Pietersen made his comeback after celebrating the born of his first child to replace Ravi Bopara. There were speculations that Ryan Sidebottom will replace James Anderson but selectors have dropped the idea. Sri Lanka is also not absolutely settled throughout the tournament. Taking Mendis for this match against England may good a bit for it. The present pitch conditions with slow and sluggish surface will suit Sri Lanka. As its players are suite hesitant to play deliver best on bouncy pitches they will get some relief here on this pitch. Probable teams for both sides could be: England: 1 Michael Lumb, 2 Craig Kieswetter, 3 Ravi Bopara, 4 Paul Collingwood, 5 Eoin Morgan, 6 Luke Wright, 7 Tim Bresnan, 8 Graeme Swann, 9 Michael Yardy, 10 Stuart Broad, 11 Ryan Sidebottom. Sri Lanka: 1 Tillakaratne Dilshan, 2 Mahela Jayawardene, 3 Kumar Sangakkara (capt, wk), 4 Dinesh Chandimal, 5 Angelo Mathews, 6 Sanath Jayasuriya, 7 Chamara Kapugedera, 8 Suraj Randiv, 9 Ajantha Mendis, 10 Lasith Malinga, 11 Chanaka Welegedera. |
