Tiger Woods Saga Wins the Top Story Spot in the Sports Section

Tiger Woods who made a come back on the public front with confession and further went on to bag a winless season over the golf course was voted down as the years most eyed sports story.

This spot was given by the Associate Press in US. Woods acceptance over his acts of infidelity to the tournaments like the Super Bowl championship won by New Orleans Saints was all together on two different platforms.

The pristine image of wood came to an end after he banged his automotive into a tree and this further revealed his list of affairs that were no less than a shock. This however was not the end but the beginning for woods.

Many ups and downs were witnessed by the world number one. In the voting session for the top story Woods heading received 1,316 points.  The other following close behind include New Orleans grabbing the title with a vote count of 1,215.

The third on this list was NBA agency free frenzy with 1,085 votes. The fourth top story was that of the football world Cup. The Giants win during the World Series was another much reported story that bagged the 5th Spot.

The Tiger Woods saga this year began with his confession that was released in the month of February.

This drew back the attention of the media and the people who wanted to know more about his list of affairs and his addictions. Then the eyeing factor was his losses on the golf course as he could not succeed through the matches played.
